Is the Polish construction sector prepared for sustainable development? This question is answered in the latest report prepared by Colliers. The report includes a case study straight from our construction site – the new campus of the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz. It also reveals how we monitor environmental indicators on the construction site.
The report is subjective and includes a summary of the experiences of the largest construction businesses in Poland, as well as the results of a survey conducted among several dozen companies across the sector.
“Like any process, it must be planned and then properly monitored to be effectively managed. That is why at Unibep Group, we have implemented a process comprising tools and solutions that help us identify key environmental parameters of construction projects and monitor dedicated environmental indicators on each site,” explained Magda Kretowicz, Environmental Protection Office Manager and the Leader of the Environmental Area at Unibep Group.
“It is worth highlighting that the structure we are working on, the new campus of the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, has been designed to passive house standards, with a strong emphasis on using renewable energy sources and achieving maximum energy efficiency. Consequently, the entire construction process is conducted with a commitment to maintaining environmental balance. The environmental procedures and standards in place at the company greatly facilitate the entire process. Above all, we are always prepared to provide detailed environmental information, reports, and analyses that the ordering party might require at various stages of the project,” added Paweł Prażmowski, Contract Director at Unibep.
